About Lumina Therapy

For over twenty years, I worked at the intersection of people and performance, leading teams, shaping organisational culture, and coaching executives through some of their most complex professional challenges. That work, grounded in a Bachelor of Psychology and a Masters in Communication, taught me something that now sits at the heart of everything I do: when people understand themselves, and feel understood by others, they are capable of extraordinary things.

That belief eventually led me somewhere I didn't expect. Navigating neurodivergence, for myself and my family, means learning the language, understanding the system, and often fighting hard for what's needed. It reshaped how I understood people, relationships, and what genuine support actually looks like. I followed that conviction into a second career, completing postgraduate qualifications in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Counselling, and a Masters in Autism and Neurodivergence (in progress). Lumina Therapy is where all of that now lives.

I specialise in working with couples, families, and individuals, people navigating relationships, identity, careers, and the particular complexity of moving through a world that wasn't always designed with them in mind. Whether the work is about a relationship under strain, understanding yourself more fully, or finding a career that fits how you're wired, the starting point is always the same: you, seen completely.

What you won't have to do here is spend your first sessions explaining what it means to be neurodivergent. That's my specialist ground. Your story, how it shows up for you specifically, is what we discover together.

Sessions are person-centred and evidence-informed, drawing on approaches including CBT, ACT, Family Systems, Gottman Method, and creative therapies, tailored to how you think, communicate, and process best.
